ERDF in Flanders

Who we are

The ERDF unit of Enterprise Flanders acts as “national authority” for the ERDF in Flanders.
Our mission consists of two tasks: managing the objective 2 program for Flanders and ensure an efficient and smooth implementation of the different Interreg programmes and projects executed in Flanders.
For the period 2007-2013 Flanders received a budget of 201 mill. euro of the European Union to execute the ERDF objective 2 program. This budget is distributed to different projects through a system of project calls organized in 4 priorities: Knowledge and innovation, Entrepreneurship,
Structural development, Urban development.
Concerning the different Interreg programs , its staff members represent Flanders in the various Interreg Monitoring and Steering Committees in the capacity of member state representative.
The unit also hosts the contact point for the transnational programmes North Sea Region and North West Europe.
